Introduction

DSM Soft forayed into the field of Telematics in the year 2009 by combining its expertise in geomatics, software development and solution engineering. A multi-disciplinary core team comprising of software/firmware developers, hardware engineers, database experts and field crew were formed in the pursuit for excellence in this domain.

The primary focus of the Telematics team at the inception phase was to implement a utilitarian yet intuitive vehicle tracking solution for fleet operators. The right combination of tracking hardware, software, online maps, IT infrastructure and field support was established and resulted in the launch of Traccia in 2010, a fully indigenous cloud hosted solution.

We have learned significantly from our customers on the specific requirements and problem areas of the highly fragmented transportation sector in India. These inputs and the expertise of our team led to develop the highly futuristic road map for Traccia. It covered a number of verticalized solutions revolving around the core GPS tracking engine of Traccia.

Our focus has always been to work with our clients to custom build a solution to suit their requirements and our tailored applications have gained acceptance from large shippers in the industry.
